Segmentally, the hyperplastic endometrium exhibits a three-layer appearance reminiscent of placental formation, known as pseudoplacentational endometrial hyperplasia. #1 is the deep glandular region, #2 is a linear strip of dense collagen separating glandular layers, and #3 is a layer of villous proliferation resembling the junctional zone.
