Subendothelial collagen (fibrosis) (*) expands sinusoids and disrupts hepatic cords architecture. Surrounding hepatocytes are swollen with vacuolated cytoplasm (degeneration), or shrunken with cytoplasmic hypereosinophilia and pyknotic nuclei (necrosis).
